A Personal Greeting from Angela Mosely, LPC

Hi!  My name is Angela Mosley and I am one of the associates with Gregory S. Smith & Associates, P.A.  I would like to take a few moments to tell you a bit about myself.

I grew up in Miami, Florida and moved to South Carolina at age 17.  I finished high school at Woodmont High in Piedmont, and graduated from Erskine College in 1986 with a degree in Behavioral Science & Social Work.  I first worked in a boarding home for chronically mentally ill individuals, and then worked for two doctors as a professional nanny (two boys with ADHD).  This couple paid my way to graduate school at Clemson University, where I received my Master's degree.

After graduate school I worked in alcohol & drug rehabilitation for several years, a wilderness camp for juvenile offenders, and at Patrick B. Harris Psychiatric Hospital for 6 years.  I developed and ran a drug and alcohol program for adolescents and did all the dual diagnosis work throughout the hospital.  I then worked with children and adults diagnosed with HIV/AIDS.

For the last several years I worked in and supervised an Intensive In-Home Services Unit for a local Mental Health Center.  I have been an LPC for over 10 years and am board certified with NCC.  I have extensive experience in working with families and individuals with mental disorders, addiction issues, and trauma issues.

I hope this gives you an idea of my work experience, credentials, and interests - I look forward to hearing from you!

Be Well,

Angela

A Personal Greeting from Joanne Bloom, LPC

Hi, my name is Joanne Bloom.  I grew up in upstate NY and moved to South Carolina in 2005.  I graduated from the State University of NY at Brockport with my Master's Degree in Psychology, and attended Webster University to obtain my LPC license.  Currently I am pursuing my PhD in Psychology at Capella University.

In the beginning of my career I worked at a drug and alcohol inpatient facility in NY.  After this I worked in an outpatient mental health crisis clinic.  Upon moving to South Carolina I worked at a local mental health center with teenagers and their parents.  Next, I supervised the BabyNet program, working with children age five and under.  I have also worked part time in an Intensive Services Program.

I have been licensed as an LPC since 2009.  I have extensive experience working with mental disorders and addictions, trauma issues, and children under the age of five.

On the personal side, I am a proud mother of three children.  In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my kids, reading, and enjoying the outdoors.

I hope this gives you an idea of my work experience, credentials and interests.  I look forward to hearing from you!

An Introduction to Phyllis Cox, LPC

Professional:  Phyllis R. Cox is an LPC with 17 years experience in the mental health field.  She received her undergraduate degree from Presbyterian College, and a Masters degree from Webster University after working for Laurens County Mental Health for 8 years.

Subsequently Ms. Cox was promoted, and worked at GMH in the homeless population division for another three years.  For the last five years she has worked for a community agency funded by United Way, developing and implementing their first in-house substance abuse and mental health program.

Ms. Cox specializes in CBT, and is a certified Substance Abuse Professional.  She enjoys the challenges of working with marital issues, and with individuals who are living with anxiety disorders and addiction.  She also continues to serve as an Adjunct Professor at GTC.

Personal:  Ms. Cox is a very proud mother of two daughters, both of whom are currently attending college.  She spends her free time taking care of her elderly parents, singing semi-professionally, decorating, collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia, and spending quality time with her friends.  She is also an active member of Laurens First United Methodist Church.
